Terms of service
These terms apply to anyone using care4u, whether as a client or as an advocate.
What care4u is
care4u is an electronic platform that connects you with verified advocates. care4u is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Advice comes from the advocate you choose, and the legal relationship for that work is between you and them.
Accounts and verification
Registration needs an email address you can open, because the verification code is sent there. A new advocate appears in the directory only after the advocate identity card and oath record have been checked, and the listing is withdrawn if those documents expire.
Consultations and orders
Every advocate sets a free message quota for prospective clients; only your own messages spend it. After that you can buy a consultation in time blocks, or buy a service whose scope, deadline and price are written up front.
Payment and money held in escrow
Payments are processed through BorderPay and go into the care4u holding account, not directly to the advocate. The money is released when you confirm the result, or automatically seven days after delivery if you have not opened a report.
Commission
A 2.5% platform commission is recorded on every order and never enters the ledger of the advocate. The figure is shown on the order before you pay.
Cancellation and reports
An unpaid order expires on its own. If the result does not match the agreed scope you can open a report before the holding period ends; care4u reviews both statements and decides how the held amount is split.
Your obligations
Give accurate information, do not upload documents that are not yours to share, and do not use the platform for unlawful purposes. Accounts that breach this may be suspended.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the service changes. Material changes are announced by email to the address registered on your account.
